The QRX Managed Print Services (MPS) program improves productivity, reduces printing and imaging costs, and provides a foundation for a reduced environmental footprint.
This is the reason a growing number of organizations are turning their printing environments over to specialists who offer Managed Print Services.
These turnkey approaches optimize printing resources, saving organizations money and relieving the IT department of equipment service and support responsibilities.
Benefit 1 A Turnkey Approach
The QRX Managed Print Services program begins with an assessment of the organization’s current infrastructure and document workflow to determine what equipment is in place, how it is used, and how much it costs the business. This leads to recommendations of how the print environment can be improved.
Typically the MPS program includes the following services:
- ongoing monitoring of printing volumes
- automatic replacement of supplies
- routine maintenance of equipment
- four hour turnaround repair service for broken equipment (parts & labour)
- detailed reporting and billing by location, device, and user
- live service help desk
- print fleet evaluation and replacement of aging or inefficient equipment
In return, the user pays a set monthly fee that’s often based on a per-page rate negotiated at the start of the program. The monthly fee covers acquisition of any new equipment, consumables, and repair and maintenance services.
Benefit 2 Predictable Printing
Managed print services will also make printing costs more predictable, so even if an old device needs to be replaced, the organization’s capital expense budget doesn’t take a hit.

Service on Demand
Service on Demand is a time & materials program (also known as break & fix) allowing customers to call with service requests with no commitments or contractual obligations.
Preventative Maintenance Agreements
Preventative Maintenance agreements provide routine maintenance for all office equipment. This program includes equipment cleaning, operations testing, inspection of critical parts, and parts replacement recommendations.
Service Blocks (Labour Agreements)
Service Block agreements consist of bundled hours of service and are offered to customers at a discount based on the number of hours pre-purchased. This program is best suited for mid-size organizations that place more than ten (10) service calls per year.
All Inclusive Maintenance Agreements
All Inclusive Maintenance agreements are parts and labour agreements that provide a fast, 4-hour turnaround. This program is best suited for mid to large size companies where dependence on office equipment is critical.

David Vyse Joins QRX
Grace Martins, General Manager QRX Technology Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. David Vyse to the position of Director-Managed Print/Document Workflow Solutions. In his new role Mr. Vyse will lead the group in the development of its Managed Print Service (MPS) business across Canada.
Dave is an industry veteran with over 14 years of managed print and document workflow experience.
With his experience and expert knowledge Dave will be a key player in the group’s new
strategic direction to offer comprehensive managed print solutions to existing and new customers.

This year the QRX group participated in the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive.Community Events
The food collected went to the Daily Bread Food Bank in Toronto.
Daily Bread Food Bank is a non-profit, charitable organization that is fighting to end hunger in our communities.
Every year thousands of people across Toronto rely on food banks. Daily Bread serves these people through neighbourhood food banks and meal programs in over 170 member agencies.
