Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS - also known as Lou Gehrig's disease) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease.   People with ALS become paralyzed due to degeneration of the upper and lower motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord.  Today, approximately 2,500 - 3,000 Canadians are living with this fatal disease.  It is predicted by 2040, neurodegenerative will surpass cancer as the second leading cause of death in Canada.  For more information on ALS, please visit their site:  http://www.als.ca

(November 2013)

Movember is the month formerly known as November, where men and women across the globe join together to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues. Men grow a Mo (moustache) for 30 days to become walking, talking billboards, for our men’s health causes - specifically prostate cancer, testicular cancer and male mental health initiatives.

The men of QRX organized a "Mo" team (QrXtreme Stashes) and collected $860 in support of the 2013 campaign!
